IDF after assessing the situation on Iran: "We are monitoring and preparing for defense, we will know how to respond with force""

Over the weekend, the IDF held a number of security situation assessments, led by Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, in light of the latest developments in the Iranian arena.

""We are monitoring what is happening in Iran," the IDF said, emphasizing that "the protests are an internal Iranian matter.".

However, it was also stated that "the IDF is prepared for defense and is constantly improving capabilities and operational readiness.".

""We will know how to respond forcefully if necessary. The IDF will do whatever is necessary to protect the citizens of the State of Israel," the IDF statement said.

The office of the chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, MK Boaz Bismuth, announced that he has called a discussion in the Intelligence Subcommittee for this coming Wednesday. The discussion will deal with assessing the situation and the implications of the recent developments in Iran.
