Idit and Kobi Ohel, the parents of the abductee Alon Ohel, who has been held captive by Hamas for 719 days, revealed new details this evening (Wednesday) about their son's condition - after Hamas released a new video of him on Rosh Hashanah Eve.
Idit said: "On Rosh Hashanah Eve, we received a sign of life from our Elon, my Elon. Kobi and I listened and looked at each and every frame to get as much as we could from him. The more we look like this, the more worried we are - these are not Elon's eyes.

Kobi Ohel addressed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the eve of his departure for the United States: "A critical and historic trip, Idit and I expect that he will return from this trip with news, news that the entire Israeli people are waiting for.".
Kobi called on cabinet ministers to "be humane and strong enough" to give Netanyahu "the backing and strength to release the kidnapped.".
The family's statement stated that the attached photo is the only one allowed for publication: "It is important for us to emphasize that the video published by Hamas is a psychological terror video intended to harm us, and we once again ask not to publish or share it.".
The parents sent a message to Alon, who is being held captive after being kidnapped from the death squad near the Nova party area. "To my Alon, my precious child, be strong, you are strong, we saw that you are strong, believe in yourself and believe in this moment that is automatically coming, the hug between us is happening, the hug with Inbar, Ronen, with mom and with me is happening. It is happening soon, be strong my darling, we are with you.".
The Prime Minister's Office reported that Netanyahu spoke with the parents last night, in the presence of the coordinator for prisoners and missing persons, Gal Hirsch. According to the statement, Netanyahu described to them "a combined military-political move that is being carried out continuously in an effort to defeat Hamas and return all the kidnapped.".
