IDF spokesman's statement: "Following the IDF attack in Beirut, the Chief of Staff, Major General Eyal Zamir, is conducting ongoing situation assessments with all relevant commanders.
According to assessments of the situation, the IDF is preparing for the possibility of firing towards Israeli territory in the coming hours.
The IDF continues to maintain readiness and alertness for a variety of scenarios in defense and attack.
The IDF emphasizes that at this stage, one must be vigilant, act responsibly, and obey the Home Front Command's instructions.
As of now, there is no change in the Home Front Command's guidelines. If any changes occur, the public will be updated accordingly.
The IDF will not accept firing into Israeli territory.
