Artist, the end of Yom Kippur 5771.

In Rabbi Nachman's Hall of Zion, 72-year-old Rabbi Hershel Fasteg sat together, alongside his young friend, 18-year-old Yosef David Elhadad. A rare friendship, bound by deep soul ties.

"It pains me to see that people don't look out for each other," said Yosef David. Rabbi Fasteg encouraged, strengthened, and most of all, listened.

And then – it happened. At the end of their conversation, a new and wonderful melody burst from Yosef David's heart. Such was his way – composing with grace.

"Can I sing it?" he asked.

"Of course," replied Rabbi Fasteg. Yosef David began playing a stirring melody in the hall of the owner of the field, and made one request: "I ask you to bring this melody to the world." Rabbi Fasteg promised to try.

Seven months passed. In the Meron disaster, Yosef David and his brother Moshe Mordechai, the late, perished – along with the 45 martyrs.

Days later, Rabbi Fasteg arrived to comfort the mourners at the Elhadad family home in Jerusalem. He shared with his father, Rabbi Meir Nachman, the will he had left to his son – to spread the Nigun around the world. However, the Nigun was forgotten from his heart.

When he left the house, the memory suddenly awakened. The melody returned to him and he began to dance an inner dance of joy and happiness.

From here the path was born: Rabbi Fasteg turned to producer and arranger Rabbi Nachman Scheiner, and the two began working on the arrangement and filming of the music video - to fulfill the saint's will.

Now, "The Lost Tune" is presented to you, in memory and in the repose of the soul of Saint Joseph David Elhadad, the late.
