70,000 Gaza residents have no electricity because of Qassam - and Israel is in no hurry

Approximately 70,000 Palestinian residents of the Gaza Strip have been without electricity for the past few hours, after a rocket launched by terrorist organizations toward Israel this evening (Sunday) hit a high-voltage power line in the Gaza Envelope, causing disruptions in the electricity supply. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Infrastructure Minister Silvan Shalom ordered the heads of the Israel Electric Corporation not to repair the fault in the damaged power line. Netanyahu and Minister Shalom instructed the company not to endanger the lives of the workers while repairing the fault, which could take hours. In recent days, many politicians and public figures in Israel, as well as the general public, have called for cutting off electricity to the Gaza Strip in order to put pressure on Hamas. The prime minister has refused to comply with the requests, saying that "legal advisors forbid it.".
