Miracle on the way to landing at Ben Gurion Airport: Drone almost hits passenger plane

נס גדול התרחש השבוע לאחר שרחפן אזרחי, שהוטס בסמוך לאזור נמל התעופה בן גוריון, כמעט ופגע במטוס נוסעים. האירוע החריג התרחש שלשום (שני) סמוך לשעה 01:00 בלילה, כאשר מטוס איירבוס 320 של חברת התעופה הבלגית 'בריסל איירליינס', שהגיע מבריסל לנתב"ג, התכונן לנחיתה  במסלול 03. לפתע הבחינו הטייסים ברחפן מרובע, בעל ארבעה רוטורים,שמרחף על נתיב הטיסה. הם נאלצו להסיט את המטוס ממסלולו והצליחו כך למנוע את ההתנגשות. הטייסים דיווחו על האירוע לפקד מגדל הפיקוח, שהחל בבירור המקרה באמצעות גורמי רשות שדות התעופה. גם גורמי המשטרה עודכנו בפרטי התקרית אך עד כה טרם אותר מפעיל הרחפן. The chief investigator at the Ministry of Transportation, Yitzhak Raz, has begun investigating the incident, which could have ended in disaster. "This is a serious incident that represents a worrying phenomenon that is only expanding and which is expressed in the increase, at a high rate of growth, of flying drones, both private and commercial, without regulation, without coordination or without informing the competent authorities.".
