The Gemara, Tractate Baba Metzia, which awaited the return of the late Elchanan Tuito at the 'Or Baruch' Yeshiva in Jerusalem, remained orphaned. The Gemara with which he began his studies in the yeshiva will not begin his summer studies with him.
Haredim 10 brings you pictures from the Gemara and the Standard with which the late Elchanan studied, who was killed on Shabbat evening near midnight in a fatal car accident on the Baka'a highway, alongside the Torah novellas he wrote.
• Tragedy: Yeshiva student Elchanan Twitu, late, killed in fatal accident
""The guy was pleasant-natured, a virtuous soul," says one of the yeshiva directors we met there. "He was a charming young man. Who would have believed that we would open the summer with such a disaster in the yeshiva. The Torah novellas that he wrote in the margins of the Gemara page are so illuminating, and now everything is left lifeless and lonely.".
The late Twitu, 21, a student at the 'Or Baruch' yeshiva and a resident of the city of Sderot, was killed near midnight in a fatal car accident on Highway 90, near the entrance to the village of Oja, when two vehicles, driven by a Palestinian and an ultra-Orthodox man, collided head-on.
During the night, Twito's parents were informed by the Sderot city officer of the worst news of all.
Angela Adani's son Yinon is hospitalized in very serious condition. Two other passengers – Shmuel Aminian and Yosef Cohen – were slightly injured.
The funeral of the late Elhanan will be held at 4:00 PM at the Sderot cemetery.
