ZAKA volunteers were called to a house in Bat Yam following a report of a 9-month-old toddler who was found unconscious in his home. Rescue forces who arrived at his home evacuated him in critical condition to Wolfson Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Shai Mizrahi, a ZAKA ambulance driver, and Nir Dorfman, ZAKA volunteers from the Bat Yam team who are treating the incident: "This is a 9-month-old baby who was found by his parents unconscious in his bed at home. The medical forces were forced to declare him dead. Together with other ZAKA volunteers, we are caring for and treating the toddler with dignity, and are accompanying the parents and family during their difficult time.".
During the activities of ZAKA volunteers at the scene in front of the police forces, the toddler was released directly for burial.
