Just minutes after the heated debate in the Knesset plenum ended and the death penalty for terrorists law was finally approved in second and third readings, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and members of the Otzma Yehudit faction began celebrating the approval of the law.
Immediately after the law was approved, Minister Ben-Gvir pulled out a bottle of champagne in the Knesset plenary - and Knesset security personnel rushed to snatch it from his hand.

Outside the plenary, the minister was seen raising a glass to "Cheer Up" along with Knesset members from his party, celebrating the achievement.
In a conversation with those present, Ben Gvir said: "Let's take out as many terrorists as possible to be executed.".
