Forces of the "Mountains" Brigade, under the command of Division 210, continue to operate in Syria, alongside the defense mission in the Lebanese "Har Dov" sector.
During the week, the reserve battalions operating under the brigade command raided several central commando headquarters of the old Syrian regime in the foothills of Mount Hermon, which had previously operated in the Syria-Lebanon sector during the Assad regime.
During the raid, the forces located military equipment and over three tons of weapons - including anti-tank mines, dozens of improvised explosive devices and rockets.
All the finds were confiscated by the forces.
An IDF spokesman said that these scans in the Syria-Lebanon border area are intended to prevent attempts to smuggle weapons between the countries, with the aim of protecting the security of the citizens of the State of Israel and the residents of the Golan Heights in particular.
