A huge shipment, which included dozens of D9 bulldozers and other equipment intended for the ground force, was received and unloaded today (Wednesday) at the Haifa Port as part of a joint operation led by the procurement delegation of the US Department of Defense, the IDF Planning Division, and the unit of the Commander of International Security Transportation at the Ministry of Defense.
The Director General of the Ministry of Defense, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Amir Baram, received the shipment at the Haifa Port.
The tools were loaded onto dozens of trucks from the transportation unit in the 'Amon' division and the IDF Technology and Logistics Division, and transported for installation of shields.
Since the beginning of the war, over 100,000 tons of military equipment have arrived in Israel, in 870 flights and 144 landings.
This is the largest air and sea train in the history of the State of Israel.
Director General of the Ministry of Defense, Maj. Gen. Amir Baram: "The shipment of the D9 bulldozers is part of a large-scale reinforcement effort, of armaments and weapons worth billions of shekels, which the American government released and the Ministry of Defense purchased and transported to Israel. In recent weeks, we have received many ships and cargo planes in the country. We must continue to strengthen the force building in order to support all the needs of the IDF in the current campaign and in preparation for the decade ahead.".
