Yoni Z (Yoni Ziegelbaum) releases a new song - "We Will Dance Again" - a personal and moving work written against the backdrop of the events of October 7th and the artist's personal journey.
The poem, which he began writing about a year ago, was only recently completed when Yoni was able to find the right words to end it. During this time, the artist managed to get married and even visit the Nova Museum, experiences that helped him connect to a deeper place in his work.
""This is the most personal song I've written to date, and it comes from the most real place," reveals Yoni. "After I got married, I'm more able to write from a more real place, and I'm less afraid to write from there.""
The new single is based on the statement, insight "We Will Dance Again" and in Hebrew "נפענו רקוד" that has become a symbol of hope in the Jewish-American community since the events of Simchat Torah, and reflects the emotional journey we have all been going through in recent months. Yoni lost a dear friend in the South on this terrible day.
The work was written in a modern contemporary style, in order to reach a wider audience, including secular Jews in America who are looking for ways to connect with their Judaism these days.
Z promises that more songs will be released soon, including works in Hebrew with deep messages, while maintaining his familiar style.
