Degel Hatorah Chairman, MK Moshe Gafni, demanded today (Sunday) that the Ministerial Committee for Legislative Affairs be convened as soon as possible to discuss the proposed Basic Law: Torah Study.
MK Moshe Gafni: "On the agenda of the Ministerial Committee for Legislative Affairs was placed a Basic Law: Torah Study, which, at the instruction of the great Torah scholars and rabbis, I was called upon to submit and promote.".
""Surprisingly, the ministerial committee has not yet convened today. I demand that it convene as soon as possible, so that the bill can be put up for a vote in the Knesset plenum on Wednesday in a preliminary reading.""
