In a joint operation by Shin Bet and Yamim fighters, two Jews, Israeli citizens, were arrested last night (Sunday) for questioning by Shin Bet and Lahav 433, on suspicion of committing a security offense directed by Iranian intelligence elements.

This case joins 22 incidents that the Shin Bet and the Israel Police have foiled since the beginning of the war, which indicate the efforts of Iranian intelligence elements to recruit Israeli citizens to carry out missions intended to harm the security of the State of Israel and its residents.

A Shin Bet source said: "In the midst of a campaign against Iran, the firing on population centers and strategic locations in Israel, we see the damage and danger of cooperating with the Iranian enemy, who uses the information that those Israelis passed on to harm Israel.".

""The General Security Service and the Israel Police have repeatedly warned against maintaining contact with foreign entities and carrying out missions for them, especially at the current time when Israel is at war with Iran. "These actions constitute a serious violation of the law. All security and enforcement agencies will work to bring to justice all those involved in such activity.".
