Baruch Dayan Ha'amat: In Jerusalem, the devout Chabad rabbi Chaim Menachem Teichtel, zt"l, one of the elders of the Chabad Hasidim and author of the books 'Netivot Chaim' and 'Yalkut Shmita' and other books, passed away this morning (Tuesday), at the age of 92.
The late Rabbi Zacharias, a great educator and a great man of action, was the son of the Gaon Rabbi Yissachar Shlomo Teichtel, the author of 'Mishnah Shekir' and 'Imm HaBanim Simcha'.
He is survived by his children: Rabbi Shlomo (of Crown Heights), Rabbi David (from Nazareth-Illit), Rebbetzin Esther Bistritzky (Mazfat), Rebbetzin Gita Wolpa (from Manatanya), Rebbetzin Bracha (from France), and Rabbi Meir Teichtel, one of the Chabad emissaries in France, and dozens of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many of whom serve as rabbis and Chabad emissaries around the world.
His funeral will leave at 5:00 PM from the Shamgar Funeral Home in Jerusalem.
