
The United States and Saudi Arabia signed an unprecedented arms deal worth $142 billion this evening (Tuesday), as part of US President Donald Trump's visit to the Middle East.

This is the largest arms deal ever signed.
The deal includes a variety of different advanced systems, including C-130 transport aircraft.
Alongside this, the parties signed investment agreements that are intended to create new jobs in the US, with a total Saudi investment, including the arms deal, of approximately $600 billion.
According to Trump, the move will create 2 million new jobs.
According to a report by the Reuters news agency, during the talks between the parties, the possibility of the US selling F-35 fighter jets to the kingdom was also discussed.
The two leaders also signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of minerals between the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Natural Resources and the US Department of Energy.
Trump's expected schedule includes a meeting and dinner with and participation in a joint investment forum for the two countries.
