The source clarified: "Any relevant information held by the POW and Missing Persons Unit is passed on to the abductee's family in an orderly manner by an intelligence officer who regularly works with the family.".

The source further added: "Any relevant information held by the POW and Missing Persons Directorate is passed on to the abductee's family in an orderly manner by an intelligence officer who regularly works with the family. Families of abductees are regularly invited for reviews by the POW and Missing Persons Coordinator, and they are met by liaison officers in the military field and representatives of the Abductees, Missing Persons and Returnees Directorate in the civilian field.".

On the list of 24 abductees still in the Gaza Strip, there are two foreign citizens: Natpong Panta, 35, from Thailand - who was kidnapped from Nir Oz, and Bipin Joshi, 24, from Nepal - who was kidnapped from unknown sources.
