In the second fire, which focused on Canada Park, approximately 20,000 dunams burned, of which approximately 10,000 dunams were forests managed by the JNF. In the first fire, approximately 6,000 dunams burned, of which approximately 4,000 dunams were forests managed by the JNF.
The Israel National Fund estimates that approximately two-thirds of the areas burned in the two fires were forests under its management that were completely burned and will require years of restoration.

Yifat Ovadia Lusky, KKL-JNF Chairwoman: "In Canada Park, which was planted for decades and was the pride of the central region, extensive forest areas burned. Unfortunately, this is a year in which we experienced fires all over the country, also due to the events of the war. We believe in the restorative power of nature and in our ability at KKL-JNF to lead an innovative restoration process that will restore beloved natural areas for the benefit of the general public.".
