For the fifth time since the beginning of the war: The IDF and Shin Bet attacked the Shajaiyah area on Sunday, killing the terrorist Muhammad al-Ajla, the successor to the previous commander of the Shajaiyah battalion in the Hamas terrorist organization, Haitham Razak Abd al-Karim Sheikh Khalil - who was killed last week.
Throughout the war, terrorist Al-Ajla served as commander of a combat support company in the Shajaiyah Battalion, and was responsible for supplying weapons to the battalion's terrorists to carry out terrorist acts against IDF forces and citizens of the State of Israel.
The terrorist Al-Ajla is the fifth Hamas Ja'aiya battalion commander to be eliminated since the beginning of the war and the third time since the beginning of Operation Might and Sword.
The IDF says that prior to the attack, steps were taken to reduce the chance of harming civilians, including providing advance warning to civilians, using precision weapons, and aerial observations.
