Air Force pilots sent a letter opposing the continuation of the fighting in the Gaza Strip, arguing that the motives are political - causing a stir among the ranks of the force.

According to a report this evening (Tuesday) on Kan News, Air Force Commander Major General Tomer Bar threatened that anyone who signs the letter will not be able to continue serving in the reserves, even though the letter did not include a threat of refusal or cessation of volunteering.

According to the report, the most severe statement that troubled the Air Force commander: "At this time, the war mainly serves political interests and not security interests. Continuing the war does not contribute to any of its declared goals and will lead to the deaths of hostages, IDF soldiers and innocent civilians, and the attrition of reserve servicemen.".
