The tour began at the Traffic Management Center, where Maklev was explained how the system works to continuously monitor traffic conditions throughout the city, detect congestion and provide solutions in real time. "Jerusalem is a city with unique transportation challenges, so efficient and accurate management is critical to prevent disruptions and improve the travel experience," said Maklev during the presentation of the system.

During the tour, the panelists were shown the advanced systems that enable real-time monitoring of traffic congestion, while providing a rapid response to unexpected situations, such as blockages due to demonstrations or extreme traffic congestion events such as those that occurred on Purim.

The visit was attended by Jonathan Levy, Director of the Traffic Management and Control Division (TMC) of the Jerusalem Municipality, Assaf Shaul, Head of Traffic Control Systems and Public Safety at the Jerusalem Municipality, and Mazlit Cohen Primark, Director of Public Safety Infrastructure at the Jerusalem Municipality. Afterwards, he was presented with the Public Transportation Management Center, which operates in collaboration with all bus operators in the city.

During the review, Maklev emphasized the importance of high availability and an improved level of service for passengers: "Public transportation is the beating heart of the city, and the more we improve its supervision and management, the more the public will feel a significant improvement in service.".

S.G.A. Maklev was impressed by the upgrades and noted that "the precise planning and professional management here prove to what extent the right investment can streamline public transportation and make it more accessible and convenient for all citizens.".

At the end of the tour, a working meeting was held, during which the Deputy Minister was presented with the main needs and the budgets required to continue improving the service. Instead, the Deputy Minister was presented with the real-time activity with the Israel Police to alleviate the traffic congestion that occurred on Purim, which is due to operational difficulties in public transportation services.

""We can't be satisfied with reports and dry data, so we go to the field to understand the challenges up close and provide practical solutions," said Maklev.

Deputy Mayor Israel Kellerman added: "The cooperation between all parties will allow us to provide better public transportation to the residents of Jerusalem.".
