""We do not believe in the rule of the infidels": Chairman of United Torah Judaism, Minister of Construction and Housing Yitzhak Goldknopf, He was recorded last night (Sunday) dancing at his nephew Naftali Goldknopf's wedding, at the Gutnik Halls in Jerusalem, to the tune of the song "We do not believe in the rule of the infidels and we do not stand in their offices, we will die and not be drafted.".

The song, the anthem of 'Neturi Karta' and opponents of the Haredi draft, has become a hit in recent months even at mainstream Haredi events.

The footage from the event was quickly distributed and sparked a political and media storm, with many elements in the political and media system condemning the minister's participation in the dance.

Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich' He sharply attacked Goldknopf: "Shame and disgrace! We can no longer remain silent in the face of Minister Goldknopf's intransigence, disdain, and servility toward the State of Israel and the heroic IDF fighters. I demand that the Prime Minister summon him for questioning this evening, set a red line for him, and put an end to his disgraceful conduct.".

Member of Knesset Moshe Saada From the Likud: "It is impossible to move on to the agenda after a video showing a minister in the Israeli government dancing to the sounds of an abominable song. 'We will die rather than be drafted'? And while my children, along with many other of our best children, are preparing themselves to be separated from their families in preparation for re-entering the battle? Is there no shame? Is there no bottom to the bottom?

""Dear Minister Goldknopf, don't you believe in the rule of the infidels? Then be respectful and move from your indulgent and rewarding position in the government of the government in which you don't believe. And if you don't do this, I call on Prime Minister Netanyahu to do it for you. There is a limit to what I, as a father to soldiers in the regular and reserve ranks, am willing to absorb.".

MK Ohad Tal From religious Zionism: "The not-so-respectable minister's honor has completely gone off the rails. The Prime Minister should show him the door out. Anyone who doesn't believe in the 'rule of the infidels' shouldn't dare to be a minister.".

Chairman of the Yisrael Beiteinu Party MK Avigdor Lieberman He responded: "While our fighters are sacrificing their lives in defense of the homeland, and the IDF announces that another division is being prepared to enter Gaza, an Israeli government minister is celebrating with a group of evasive people to the tunes of the well-known song 'We do not believe in the rule of the infidels and we do not stand in their offices.' Those who do not serve - do not vote.".

Golknopf initially responded: "The attempts to divide and quarrel do not cease for a moment. Tonight I attended a family member's wedding when, during the dance, the music changed to a song that I do not agree with, to say the least. In order not to offend the groom and his family, I remained in place, and unfortunately some have taken advantage of this to incite as if I agree with the content of the song. So here it is: I disavow and condemn.".

Some time later, he issued another apology. "Following the condemnation I published, my heart goes out to all those who were rightly offended. In the passion of dancing and music, I set no limits, and precisely as someone who helps reservists, who is anxious for the soldiers' safety and prays for their success, I ask for forgiveness. I had a duty to silence the orchestra on the spot, and I will act accordingly in the future.".

prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu He responded: "Minister Goldknopf did well to disavow the song that was played at the event he attended and even expressed regret for it. There is no place for songs against service in the IDF to be played. This is the time to unite the forces at home against the enemies outside.".

Media person Yinon Magal He responded: "When Smotrich and Shikley condemn Goldknopf for not stopping the dancing at the wedding, I believe them. But when Lapid and the other Redmen do it, I snort with contempt, because they sing all day long: 'We do not believe in the rule of the infidels,' and when it didn't suit them, they didn't show up at the draft boards either...) And by the way, Bennett didn't tweet against the refusals at the time either.".
