Police officers from the Lev Tel Aviv police station and patrolmen from the Tel Aviv Municipality's SLA unit arrested a suspect last night (Sunday), a 57-year-old resident of Bnei Brak, who broke into a business in the city center.
The arrest was made after the police hotline received a call last night about a break-in at a business on Yehuda Halevi Street in Tel Aviv.
Police officers from the Tel Aviv Lev Station and patrolmen from the municipality's SLA unit quickly arrived at the scene and began operations to locate the suspects.
During the rapid investigation, a description of the suspect was obtained, and after a few minutes he was located and arrested near the business that had been broken into.
During his search, he was found to be in possession of property stolen from the business, including stolen items of clothing, cash that was suspected to have been taken from the premises, and a charity fund.
A forensic investigator from the Yarkon region was summoned to the scene to collect evidence.
The suspect was detained for questioning at the station and was subsequently imprisoned.
Today, the police will request an extension of his detention in the Magistrate's Court.
