US President Donald Trump made a statement at the White House this evening (Wednesday) saying that the US will continue to attack Iran.

""We hit them hard yesterday and we'll hit them again today," the president promised. "The Iranians should very much sign the deal.".

Trump was asked about Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's threat to Israel and Prime Minister Netanyahu's harsh response - and replied: "Erdogan is my friend, I like him very much. He's a very strong man. I didn't hear what he said. If I had, I would have called him. He's my friend and I love him. I'll make sure everything is okay. Nothing will happen as long as I'm president.".

Earlier, Trump published a strong post against Iran on the social network Truth Social, against the backdrop of the nightly escalation between the two countries.

""Iran is all talk, no action. The bully of the Middle East is dead. It took them too long to negotiate a deal that was great for them, and now they will have to pay the price.".

Trump added: "The Iranian military is a complete mess. Much of it, like the air force and the navy, no longer exists. They have been completely defeated.".

In an interview with Fox News, he said: "I am close to ordering additional strikes on Iran, which will include power plants and bridges.".

The speaker of Iran's parliament responded to the statements: "Any aggression will be met with a direct and decisive response. The path to victory lies through resistance and martyrdom.".

Iranian President Fazlullah responded to US President Trump in a tweet on X: "Threats to damage infrastructure are not a show of strength, but a sign of desperation. Iran will stand firm in the face of any pressure or threat.".
