Hamas announced last night (Sunday) that a member of the organization's political bureau, Salah al-Bardawil, was killed in an Israeli attack on a tent in Khan Yunis, along with his wife.

The assassination was previously reported by the Palestinian news agency "Shihab", which claimed that the attack was aimed at "tents housing displaced persons.".

Al-Bardawil was previously a member of the Palestinian Parliament representing Hamas.

Like the Sinwar brothers and other senior figures, he was born in Khan Yunis and studied engineering in Egypt.

During his activity in Hamas, he edited the organization's newspaper, "A-Risallah," and was head of the communications department. He also served as one of the main spokesmen in Arab media outlets.

He previously served time in prison for membership in the terrorist organization, but was later released.

Bradwill was also a member of Hamas's political bureau in Gaza, headed by Yahya Sinwar. Of the 17 members of the bureau, he is the ninth to be killed in IDF strikes since the beginning of the war.

Six others, including Khalil al-Hayya and Razi Hamed, left the Gaza Strip before the war. He is the second member of the Gaza branch to be eliminated since the start of the current operation. Last week, Issam al-Dalis - the 'shadow prime minister' - was eliminated.

Israel has not yet commented on Hamas's announcement.

Over the weekend, the IDF and Shin Bet killed the terrorist Osama Tabash, head of military intelligence in the southern Gaza Strip and head of Hamas's Observations and Targets Department.

Tvash, a veteran terrorist in the ranks of the terrorist organization, was a significant source of knowledge and held a variety of senior positions, including battalion commander in the Khan Yunis Brigade.

Over the years, he was involved in terrorist activities and directed attacks, including a suicide attack carried out in 2005 at the Gush Katif junction in the Gaza Strip, in which Shin Bet coordinator Oded Sharon was killed.

In his last role, Tabash was responsible for formulating Hamas's combat strategy on the ground, coordinating intelligence in the southern Gaza Strip and managing their activities in the region.

He was also involved in Hamas's power-building processes over the past year and worked to restore its military strength, following the damage it suffered in the "Iron Swords.".

As part of his role, he was responsible for planning and including the targets of the fire and raid as part of the massacre carried out by the terrorist organization on October 7. During the war, he led Hamas's observation system, which collected and warned of IDF operations, directed fire at IDF forces, and was a central factor in shaping Hamas's perception of the IDF and its operations.
