In recent months, investigators from the Bnei Brak and Mesovim police stations have been conducting an investigation following the robbery of a 78-year-old woman two months ago on Haim Bar Lev Street in Ramat Gan. When the robbery was reported, police from the Mesovim and Bnei Brak police stations arrived at the scene and began an investigation, collecting a wide range of findings and evidence. As part of a rapid investigation, on the same day, the police located a 33-year-old suspect, a resident of Taiba, who was involved in the robbery. Upon completion of his investigation, the prosecutor's office filed an indictment against him. The investigation continued and investigators were able to trace the identity of another suspect involved in the robbery: Last Monday, fighters from the Gideonim unit of Lahav 433 in Qalanswa located the suspect - a 45-year-old Sheba resident, a resident of Nablus - and arrested him. According to the investigation, the suspect arrived that morning with another suspect via the driver - who was arrested and indicted - and knocked on the door of the elderly woman's private home, introducing themselves as municipal employees. The suspects told the elderly woman that they had come to check the electrical cabinet. At that time, they attacked her, tied her up and dragged her to the basement. The suspects began looting money - about 1,200 shekels - and property from the house, such as two antique flutes worth tens of thousands of shekels. Upon completion of the investigation, a prosecutor's statement was filed yesterday, the suspect's detention was extended until Wednesday, and the prosecutor's office intends to file an indictment against him.
