Police forces and Border Guard soldiers who arrived at the scene conducted extensive searches for the suspect who fled, and forensic officers began collecting evidence at the scene in order to track down the suspect in the act.
After his identity was revealed, and through rapid and varied investigative actions, in cooperation with the Shin Bet, David area police officers were able to trace his escape route and he was arrested by Tiberias police officers, while hiding in a yeshiva in the north of the country.
