And thus Aharon writes:

Efrat and I wrote "Thread of Hope" on the Tel Aviv beach promenade, on the day of the previous hostage release, a year ago. But the optimism of Ehud Banai's guitar and harmonica was probably waiting for these days. Days when we are so excited and happy alongside the fears and pain.

And out of all hope, Efrat added a sentence to this version, in honor of Berger Lake, which is now set to be released: "Who is this rising from the desert? I am this, clear as a lake of river water.".

We were also informed that the kidnapped Sagi Dekel Chen, a relative of ours, is also expected to be released soon. Amen!

When Joshua ben Nun conquered the land, Rahab, as recounted in the Bible, asked him to save her family. He agreed, but on the condition that Rahab would tie the "second thread of hope" to her window, a phrase so beautiful that it inspired the lyrics.

This is the sixth song to be released since the beginning of the war. Each of the songs expressed, it turns out, a different 'chord' in the soul, but all are related to the difficult creation of these great days. In the meantime, I sing, pray, wait for the light, and tie a thread of hope to my windows...
