On Sunday, a new season of the reality show "Marriage at First Sight," a popular matchmaking show, was launched on Keshet 12.

The first episode featured the first match of the season: 'the bride' Mindy Erlich, 37, from Jerusalem, a former Haredi and mother to 17-year-old Nati. Erlich is a successful lawyer and screenwriter who won an award from Netflix. .

Under the canopy, she met her match for the show: Assaf Shitrit, a 40-year-old Tel Avivian.

Mickey Levin, from the gossip section of 'Maariv', went out to check out more details about the new bride - and announced that she discovered the following interesting detail (we promise we didn't touch it):

""Erlich, who came from an ultra-Orthodox family and is the eldest of ten brothers and sisters, is a tenth generation descendant of the Golem of Prague, which means she is a cousin of the Golem of Prague. Yes, what you heard, it is a glorious family lineage and for those who don't know, get some background on the Golem of Prague.

""The legend of the Golem of Prague is a Jewish folk legend that tells of a golem created by Rabbi Yehuda Liwa, the 16th-century Maharal of Prague, in order to prevent blood libels by Christian communities in Europe against Jews.

""Erlich, who came from a religious family, asked for permission shortly after the birth of her son and at the same time began divorce proceedings from her husband, whom she married at the age of 18 in a matchmaking ceremony. Her parents are not entirely aware of her secular lifestyle, but at the same time they have a good and close relationship, even though they chose to be absent from the wedding ceremony.".

""In the first years after the divorce, she was surviving. She worked several jobs to keep her head above water and at times lived with a friend when she couldn't pay rent. She studied and worked and financed everything on her own, without help from her parents.".

For those who still didn't understand: Erlich comes from a privileged Haredi family, but she is definitely not a cousin of the legendary 'Golem'...
