A special task force of Tira police station detectives and Border Guard tactical brigade fighters carried out increased operational enforcement yesterday (March 1) at a house in the city, as part of the police's fight to cut off the financial pipelines of criminal elements and harm the state treasury and innocent citizens.

During the operation, they uncovered a laboratory in the courtyard of a house in Tira containing over 1,500 coins suspected of being counterfeit in the amount of 10 and 5 shekels, as well as tools suspected of being tools intended for the production of these coins, including a compressor, digital scales, engraving machines, a hammer and anvil, and more.

At the end of the search, the police arrested the owner of the place - a 39-year-old city resident on suspicion of involvement in the production of counterfeit coins - and after questioning her, she was imprisoned.
