Defense Minister Yisrael Katz visited the Arrow Battery this morning (Tuesday), together with the commander of the Air Defense Directorate, Brigadier General Gilad Biran.
This is the battery that successfully intercepted the ballistic missile launched by the Houthis during the night.
During the visit, the Minister of Defense received an operational overview of the battery's interception management center from the commander of Battalion 136, Lt. Col. Eyal Frenkel, and other commanders in the formation.
""I came here today to congratulate you on the very successful interception you carried out against the upgraded missile fired yesterday by the Houthi terrorist organization from Yemen," said Katz.
""The State of Israel has the best air defense capability in the world and we know we have someone to rely on. Millions trust you, wake up to the sound of the alarms but know that there is someone who will deal with the threat.
""We will not accept the fact that the Houthis continue to fire on the State of Israel. I warned and said that just as we dealt with Sinwar in Gaza, Haniyeh in Tehran, and Nasrallah in Beirut - we will also deal with the heads of the Houthis in Sana'a and everywhere in Yemen.".
He emphasized: "We will act both against their infrastructure and against them to remove the threat and eliminate the threats to the State of Israel, in order to achieve our goals. Whoever sponsors Houthi terrorism in Hodeidah or Sana'a will pay the full price.".

The minister added: "We do not trust anyone other than the IDF to protect the communities and the residents. We will not allow threats to arise and will act in advance against any threat, and the threat in the skies today is the first missile war - you will continue to act to protect the country's skies and we will act with great force in an attack to remove the threats from the State of Israel.".
