Quietly and resolutely: The Haredi Authority, led by Deputy Minister Uri Maklev, is launching an innovative, initial and precedent-setting project - aimed at developing and meeting the needs of the Haredi communities and strengthening their status. The unique project, funded by the Haredi Authority, is being carried out in 54 local authorities across the country, and these days the mayors are signing agreements within the framework of the Haredi Authority's call for proposals, with the aim of providing a precise response to the unique needs of the Haredi public - in every community and everywhere. The program was built after the success of a pilot in a limited format, and is now being expanded to reach every corner where there is a Haredi community. In this program, the Haredi Authority is operating in every local authority that has a Haredi community, even the smallest one. The new project, which is being launched with the support and activity of Finance Committee Chairman MK Moshe Gafni, touches on all important areas. Within this framework, frameworks will be set up for informal training programs on a variety of topics that will provide the public with the opportunity to acquire skills that have been less accessible to the public to date in content and in a way that is appropriate for the public. The Community Development Program creates new opportunities - from encouraging local entrepreneurship to diverse collaborations that strengthen the entire community. The Haredi Authority, which has made it its mission to adapt government services to the Haredi public in all government issues, allocates budgets only to the Haredi public, and local authorities must work among the Haredi communities in their cities. As part of the initiative, an emphasis will be placed on financial literacy, which will provide the public with practical tools for managing a family budget and improving economic stability. This is alongside voluntary activity, which encourages social involvement, and making rights and information accessible are an integral part of the initiative, with the understanding that true empowerment begins with confidence and awareness. Alongside this, the program also allows activities for local authority employees themselves. The program includes needs mapping and strategic planning processes aimed at creating efficient and tailored work for the Haredi public, mainly in the mixed cities. In this project, the Haredi authority, led by Deputy Minister Uri Maklev, places the Haredi person at the center, out of an understanding of his needs, and works to create practical tools and new possibilities for him. This is the first time that resources have been allocated on such a large scale for the benefit of Haredi communities, with an emphasis on local initiatives. Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Rabbi Uri Maklev, who is in charge of the Haredi Authority, said that this is the first time that a unique government authority located in the Prime Minister's Office operates from its own budget for the Haredi public and not through other government ministries.
