Palestinians: Dozens killed in attack in Mawasi • IDF: "We attacked senior officials""

Earlier today (Wednesday), air force fighter jets targeted and under intelligence guidance from the Military Intelligence Service, Shin Bet, and Southern Command, senior Hamas terrorists who were engaged in terrorist activity in the humanitarian zone in Khan Yunis. After the attack, secondary explosions were detected indicating the presence of weapons in the area. Palestinian media reported about 20 deaths in the attack on a tent compound in the humanitarian zone in Mawasi.

According to the IDF spokesman, prior to the attack, many steps were taken to reduce the chance of harming civilians, including the use of precision weapons, aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence information. "The Hamas terrorist organization systematically violates international law, while cruelly exploiting civilian institutions and the population as human shields for terrorist operations. The IDF will continue to harm anyone who promotes and engages in terrorism against the citizens of the State of Israel, and will work to realize the goals of the war,“ the IDF spokesman said.
