MK Limor Son Har-Malech of Otzma Yehudit visited Eli Feldstein and defendant A. in their detention today (Thursday) - for the second time since the indictment was filed against them in the 'document leak' affair.
During the visit, she spoke with them about the conditions of their detention and the difficulties they experienced following the prolonged interrogations by Shin Bet investigators.
MK Sun Har-Malech: "On my first visit to Eli, I saw a broken man. He described to me how the Shin Bet interrogators tried to break his spirit by presenting a false representation as if the people of Israel saw him as a traitor and a spy. In those difficult moments, he believed these lies, and they succeeded in causing him a severe feeling of loneliness.".

According to her, over time, Feldstein realized that the reality was completely different. “Eli told me that when he was exposed to the tremendous wave of public support, he realized that everything the investigators tried to present to him was a lie. Today, I met a different man – with eyes full of confidence and a deep sense of mission, thanks to the knowledge that the people of Israel were on his side.".
MK Sun Har-Malech emphasized her commitment to following the case: "The story of Eli and the opponent A. is not only a personal story but a story of a struggle for justice. It is public support that gives them the strength to stand bravely in the face of attempts to break their spirit. I pledge to continue to act on their behalf and ensure that the processes are carried out fairly and transparently until justice is served.".
