''A difficult scene, she was trapped': 8-year-old girl killed by bus in Jerusalem

An 8-year-old girl, a pedestrian, was killed today (Monday) after being hit by a bus on Shimon HaTzadik Street in Jerusalem. The girl's death was determined after rescue operations. MDA emergency medical technician Shimon Salz said: "The girl was trapped under the bus, unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, with multiple systemic injuries. During the rescue operations, we performed medical tests, but her injuries were critical and unfortunately we had to declare her dead at the scene." Ariel Drey and James Klein, United Hatzalah paramedics: "This is a difficult scene - a girl pedestrian who was killed as a result of being hit by a bus. Unfortunately, we had to declare her dead at the scene of the accident due to the nature of the severe injuries she suffered. Also at the scene, the United Hatzalah resilience unit treated anxiety victims - who witnessed the serious accident. The police stated that they "have begun investigating the circumstances of a serious traffic accident that occurred on Shimon HaTzadik Street in Jerusalem, involving a private bus and a minor pedestrian.
