The Ministry of Social Equality and the Advancement of Women, in collaboration with the Bnei Brak Municipality, launched a special conference for Bnei Brak residents aged 60 and over, to expose them to the variety of employment options available in the economy, while fully considering the needs of the Haredi sector and in accordance with the Haredi lifestyle.
The Ministry of Social Equality and the Advancement of the Status of Women has been operating a national program for several years that assists people aged 60 and over in integrating into the labor market. The program is operated through Tigbor Temporary Professional Labor Pool Company Ltd. and Maof Human Resources Company (part of the Maof Group) Ltd.
The program includes: a dedicated job search website for those aged 60 and over, assistance and guidance in job search, training to strengthen work skills and referrals to professional training.
Minister of Social Equality and the Advancement of the Status of Women MK May Golan: "I am proud to lead this important initiative that provides a unique opportunity for veteran women from the Haredi sector to integrate into the employment market. The Haredi sector is an integral part of Israeli society, and we at the ministry place special emphasis on developing programs tailored to its unique needs. I welcome the cooperation with the Bnei Brak Municipality, and believe that the conference will open up new possibilities for respectful employment for the participants that is tailored to their lifestyle. We will continue to work to expand the circle of employment among the older population in general and the Haredi sector in particular.""

Director General of the Ministry for Social Equality and the Advancement of the Status of Women, Meirav Stern: "I see great importance in the integration of veteran women in the employment market, and in particular in the Haredi sector. These are women with rich life experience, diverse skills and the ability to make a significant contribution to the economy. The conference in Bnei Brak is part of a broad initiative by the ministry to encourage employment of adults, while emphasizing full compliance with the needs of the Haredi sector. I believe that the integration of veteran women in employment brings double benefits - both on a personal level, in terms of self-realization and economic well-being, and on an economic level, as they are a quality and experienced workforce. The ministry will continue to work to promote the issue and make employment opportunities tailored to the Haredi sector accessible.".
The unique conference, which was free of charge, was attended only by women.
During the conference, Rabbi Avner Kavs spoke about the importance of employment and realizing personal abilities in adulthood, according to Torah thought.
