Ziv Belfer, 52, and Shimon Najam, 54, residents of the city of Nahariya, were murdered today (Tuesday) by a rocket strike on a warehouse in the city.
Rescue workers who arrived at the scene of the tragedy testified that the rocket directly hit the warehouse, which led to the deaths of the two. "This is a warehouse that was hit by a rocket. We quickly arrived at the scene, where there was extensive destruction and an active fire. We performed medical examinations on two men who were lying unconscious and suffering from serious injuries to their bodies. Unfortunately, their injuries were too severe, and after the examinations, we were forced to declare both of them dead," said Dor Vaknin, an emergency medical technician at MDA.
Yuval Yosef, ZAKA volunteer, Northern District: "We arrived at the scene within a few minutes of the missile hitting the building, which was still on fire. Firefighters rescued the victims. They were two men in their fifties. The ZAKA team, Northern District, is handling the bodies of the martyrs who were killed and collecting the artifacts for the Israel Tomb.".
Ziv's sister, Avital, told 'Kan News': "There is no person who did not know Ziv and did not connect with him. His sensitivity and his kindness, a special person. He is my only brother, only my father and I are left.".
