
The eve of the opening of the 2015 school year: Jerusalem Municipality on the appointment of Arik Wurzburger to the position of head of the new municipal education administration.
Wurzburger, an educator and Jerusalemite, held a variety of positions in the Jerusalem education system, including founding and managing the 'Or Torah Stone' boys' high school in Ramot and serving as head of the teacher department and pedagogical supervisor for school principals in the AMIT network.
For the past 14 years, Wurzburger has served as Deputy Director of Education at Yad Yitzhak Ben Zvi.
Würzburger holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Hebrew University, a Master's degree in Jewish history, and a Bachelor's degree in Education.
He served as an armor officer and in his last position served as a divisional operations officer.
Würzburger will take up his position as head of the Jerusalem Municipal Education Administration, the largest education system in the country, and will replace outgoing head of the administration Yoav (Zimi) Zimran.
The Jerusalem Municipality thanks Zimran for his many activities, which contributed to strengthening Jerusalem's status as the education capital of Israel.
