It's not every day that Hasidic singer Isaac Hannig releases a new album.
In fact, it's been a decade since the veteran singer released a single. It's not because he didn't want to, but because he's been working for over a decade on a musical project he grew up with, songs that have meaning and depth - that he wanted to reintroduce to the music world.
The amazing new album - 'Voice in the Forest' includes 10 tracks, eight of which are full of nostalgic feeling, with Isaac's warm and moving vocals, in a way that warms the heart and moves the listeners.
The album also contains two new songs that are less well-known to the public, one by the great composer Rabbi Moshe Goldman, the late, which has never been recorded before.
The elaborate album was produced by Isaac's son - Yossi Hanig, and includes special arrangements by maestro Yehuda Galili.
""This new, nostalgic album is a combination of both old and new," says Isaac. "Authentic songs that I grew up with, carefully arranged with beautiful innovations and a lot of heart and soul. We hope it will bring you a sense of longing and emotion, warmth and happiness in the music like the songs of yesteryear.""
