Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi visited today (Wednesday) the Kfir Brigade's brigade exercise on the northern border - during which he referred to the assassination of Hezbollah Chief of Staff Fuad Shukar.

Halevi said: "Yesterday afternoon we had the opportunity to kill Mohsen. Mohsen is the most senior military figure in Hezbollah, and he is also a person very close to Nasrallah. He basically arranges all the military matters for him, arranged for him in the past tense.".

""This man is responsible for all the instructions given, for the 12 children who were killed on Saturday afternoon in Majdal Shams, for the killing we had yesterday in Goshrim, at noon.".

He emphasized: "We have confidence in our planned moves forward, because our intention in Hezbollah is not to return to October 6th. Mohsen will not be there, but we are also not prepared for the situation to return to a presence on the border, 200 meters from Metula, or Mastula, or from Rosh HaNikra.".

""The IDF knows how to operate and reach a specific window in a neighborhood in Beirut, it knows how to attack at a specific point underground, and we also know how to maneuver inward very strongly, and you are practicing this week, and this is a very important capability.".

The visit was attended by the Commander of the Northern Command, Maj. Gen. Uri Gordin, the Commander of the Central Command, Maj. Gen. Avi Balut, the Commander of the Training and Education Command, Maj. Gen. David Zini, the Commander of the 99th Division, Maj. Gen. Barak Hiram, and the Commander of the National Land Training Center, Maj. Gen. Kobi Heller.

The exercise took place in multi-armed cooperation, during which Kfir Brigade fighters practiced a variety of extreme scenarios, fighting in complex and mountainous terrain, firing and fighting in built-up areas, as part of increasing combat readiness in the northern sector.
