Ditza Or, the mother of Avinan, who was kidnapped 292 days ago from the Nuba party, said today (Wednesday) on Channel 2 that she strongly opposes a "partial" hostage deal.
Or, who is participating in the Prime Minister's delegation to Washington and was at the meeting he held with the families of the kidnapped, said on the "Seder Yom" program with Yoav Krakowsky that this is a "deal of neglect.".
Ditza, who said her 31-year-old son is not expected to be included in the first phase of the deal, said in an interview: "I don't believe in this deal, it's a deal of scorn. It's a betrayal of our hostages and the prime minister said explicitly: I have to make painful decisions. He looked us in the eye when he said that, and that's unacceptable to me. If that happens, it will be on purpose, and we will never forgive ourselves for that.".
According to her, "Everything must be done to bring them back. I simply know that a deal built on stages will not progress. You cannot trust a partner like Hamas.".
She added: "If my prime minister caused my son to be kidnapped without protection, this time, if it happens, it will be intentional, and for that we will never forgive.".
She also expressed her concerns about the implications of the proposed deal: "We know that Hamas needs to be dismantled. The one who will run the Strip in the next year or two is the IDF. If the prime minister signs a deal that neglects my son and a hundred other hostages, we will take responsibility for it immediately.".
