
In the barrage carried out this evening (Saturday) towards Kiryat Shmona and the surrounding communities, approximately 15 launches were identified that crossed Lebanese territory.
Air defense fighters successfully intercepted most of them.
As a result of interception failures during the launches, an IDF soldier was seriously injured, another soldier was moderately injured, and two other soldiers were slightly injured.
The soldiers were evacuated to receive medical treatment at a hospital, and their families were notified.
Shortly after the barrage, additional alerts were activated in the north - in which 8 launches were identified that crossed from Lebanese territory to the Kiryat Shmona area.
Afterwards, Air Force fighter jets attacked a Hezbollah field commander who was in the area of the village of Tabit in southern Lebanon.
The Ziv Medical Center in Safed reported that during the day, eight casualties arrived from various incidents throughout the north: two members of the Maayan Baruch emergency squad were slightly injured from smoke inhalation as a result of treating a fire following a fall in the area; four female soldiers who were injured from shrapnel from the shooting in Kiryat Shmona, one of whom is in serious condition, another in moderate condition, and two in mild condition; a 77-year-old man from Kiryat Shmona in mild condition with shrapnel injuries; and a 37-year-old foreign worker, who suffered from anxiety.
