Journalist Ariela Sternbach, an ultra-Orthodox reporter and investigative reporter for News 13, shared with her followers on Twitter that she was harassed in the middle of the street.
According to Sternbach, she was walking around with her baby daughter in a stroller, when a man she described as "a giant of size" approached her and asked her a very disturbing question.
""I told him, 'I'm calling the police on you,' he got scared and said, 'Please no,' and left the scene," she said.
The journalist said that she called the police to complain: "I dialed 100, told them what happened and emphasized that I saw him walking and that there were cameras along the street. The dispatcher said she was checking what to do, she didn't know, after a while: 'I'm sending you a link to file a complaint.'".
The journalist explained why she did not intend to file a complaint: "Because it is clear that no one will come and take out cameras." She added: "Why didn't I take a picture of him right away? Because, well, I have a small baby, I was afraid he would panic and try to snatch my iPhone and the situation would escalate, it doesn't suit me.
""Why did I want to complain? So that he wouldn't meet another 12-year-old girl returning from camp. I wanted to be a good citizen, but I have no expectations from the police.".
