In a modest and moving ceremony in the city of Ashdod, the first ambulance of 'Lemanekhem' was inaugurated in the presence of the Minister of Health, the management of the 'Lemanekhem' organization, the city's rabbis and public figures, in conjunction with the laying of the cornerstone for the 'Noa Medical Center' building.
The ambulance was donated to honor the soul of a city resident, the girl Noa Shira Maman.
The ambulance donation is part of a series of projects led by the "For You" organization for the benefit of residents of the south in general and the city of Ashdod in particular, in collaboration with the "Forum for the Promotion of Health in Ashdod", which was established several months ago in the name of Noa Maman, may God bless her soul, who was struck by the disease while still a young girl, and was accompanied during her illness by "For You".
Following numerous inquiries received by the organization from residents of the south, it was recently decided to expand the reception of the medical team at "For You" to the southern region as well. It takes place every week in the city of Ashdod, alongside the lending of medical equipment and other projects that the organization leads together with the forum, for the benefit of promoting and improving the health of local residents.
Today, in collaboration with KKL-JNF, a new intensive care unit (ICU) was donated, which will serve the residents of Ashdod and the southern region. The new ambulance is equipped with the most innovative medical equipment and advanced technologies, and is capable of providing advanced and invasive treatment under sterile conditions, similar to an intensive care room in a hospital.
""Noa is blessed that the glorious legacy she left behind - doing good for others - continues even more strongly, with the 'Forum for the Promotion of Health in Ashdod', which helps and contributes greatly to the residents of Ashdod and the surrounding area, being one of them. The intensive care ambulance that we are launching here today in her memory will undoubtedly save many lives," said Rabbi Yossi Arblich, chairman and founder of the 'For You' organization, at the event, and congratulated his partner in the journey, Attorney Tzachi Abu, who took it upon himself as a life's mission to commemorate Noa.
Minister of Health, Uriel Bosso, congratulated the heads of the organization Lemankam, Rabbi Yossi Arblich and Prof. Yosef Peres, on their partnership in establishing the medical center and ambulance: "The State of Israel is working to reduce gaps. Ashdod residents do not have access to medical services. This will significantly strengthen Assuta Hospital and will also bring more employment. It is a real privilege to be part of this. Attorney Tzachi Abu is helping to strengthen Assuta Hospital and reduce gaps in the south.".
The chairman of 'For You' signed the founding charter of the health center, which includes Assuta Hospital and the new medical center, together with the Minister of Health, Assuta Ashdod CEO Erez Birnbaum, and the president of the 'For You' organization, donors Yechiel and Tzachi Abu, and the rabbi of Ashdod, Rabbi Chaim Pinto.
