The first US president to be convicted of a crime: A jury in New York - seven men and five women - convicted former President Donald Trump this evening (Thursday) in the "hush money" affair.
The jury foreman read the charges one by one - and Trump was found guilty of all 34 counts against him.
The case now goes to a judge, who will determine the sentence for the former president, who is also running in the upcoming United States presidential election.
The judge is expected to announce his verdict on July 11.
The sentence could range from a fine to four years in prison for each offense. However, legal experts estimate that Trump is unlikely to be sent to prison.
Even if Trump is sent to prison, he will be able to run in the election.

Trump has the option of trying to appeal the conviction. He would have to convince the appeals court that there were significant and specific flaws in the trial.
In a trial in New York in recent weeks, the former president was accused of paying a "hush money" to a woman to keep her from publishing details of their affair. Trump was also accused of violating election laws by paying the hush money to cover up the affair, as he was trying to withhold information from voters that was essential to their vote.
The former president said in his first response: "The judge is corrupt, the trial was a disgrace, we were not given a chance. The real decision will be made in November by the people.".
