The investigation will deal with three main incidents, including the pushing of elderly Haredi Rabbi Avraham Kreuzer onto the road, the beating of a woman with a stick and kicking her, and the beating of worshippers and firing into the air.
Thousands of Haredim arrived yesterday at the Rashbi memorial on Mount Meron, in violation of the 'closed military area' order of the Northern Command's general on the mountain. Clashes broke out with the police there.
In the footage distributed on social media, the police are seen using severe and unusual violence against the worshippers.

Despite requests from rabbis and rebbes not to come to the Rashbi's grave on Lag BaOmer, out of concern for life, hundreds broke into the grave site, vandalized police equipment on site, and clashed with the police.
According to the police, during the clashes, 19 police officers, who according to the police, had iron bars, glass, and objects thrown at them, were evacuated for medical treatment.
Following the severe violence, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir told Kan News: "Such incidents cannot occur. I asked them for an account, for the three incidents, including the elderly man in the wheelchair, the shooter, and the woman who was beaten, kicked, and pushed by a Border Police officer.".
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned this morning the severe violence by the police against Haredim who climbed Mount Meron despite a 'closed military area' order.
Netanyahu wrote: "Last night I watched the harsh images from Mount Meron that shocked us all." He demanded that the police investigate the incident: "I expect the police to investigate the incident in order to prevent unnecessary harm to civilians and call on all Israeli citizens to uphold the law and act according to the instructions of security forces.".
