The children of the Satmar Talmud Torah in Jerusalem took part in a procession through the streets of the city in honor of the holiday of Purim - wearing costumes representing opposition to the conscription of Haredim into the IDF.

The children wore a T-shirt with the inscription: "To enlist or to the gallows? Our answer is to the gallows." And also: "We will die rather than enlist.".

Each child held a replica of a gallows with a hanging rope.

The documentation of the costumes caused a stir on social media - and many reacted angrily.

Founder of the organization 'Teachers Leading Change' Tal Luria wrote: "There are no words to describe how sick this is, how immoral it is, how fucked up it is. We protect them, they think we want to kill them.".

One of the surfers wondered: "In what world does a 6-year-old child have to see a noose and certainly walk with it with his head held high? In any normal country, whoever organized this would go to prison, and in democratic European countries he would go to prison as well.".

And another surfer wondered: "What is this terrible, horrible thing? How does it exist in Israel and pass quietly?""
