Singer, songwriter and guitarist Barak Grossberg, Baal Teshuvah from Tel Aviv, in a new and special single-clip that tells the story of Yaakov Blinik, who was saved from the Nuba Re'im party on Simchat Torah.
What, won't you join in to protect your home? This is the way to volunteer now
The clip combines Blinik's escape from Hamas terrorists, combined with artificial intelligence technology, with the daily struggles after the massacre.
The song, written by Barak and Efi Shiner, the music producer, is a faith-based pop song with innovative electronic elements.
The text presents confidence in God, blessed be He, especially during this time, despite the bloody Israeli reality, that everything that happens is for the best. The song, which was released on the first day of the month of Adar, conveys a message of joy:
""There is an advantage in joy over sadness, even when the road seems long.".
The song's style ranges from quiet, emotional verses to an energetic chorus with a guitar solo that goes straight to the heart.
The clip, produced by director and cinematographer Eyal Zion, presents the life story of Blinik, who stars in the clip himself, after surviving the massacre at a party in Ra'im, but the trauma does not leave him: he crosses Hatufim Square, passes various exhibits and even enters the Hamas tunnel exhibit. He walks through Dizengoff Square, which has become a center of remembrance with tens of thousands of photos of those who perished, kidnapped, and memorial candles around the fountain.
The clip moves between Blinik's wanderings around Tel Aviv - a Tel Avivian by birth - and flashbacks from the moments of his escape from Hamas terrorists, combined with artificial intelligence technology, and conveys an unequivocal message for the release of the kidnapped and the rehabilitation of all victims of the war.
Grossberg, who recently returned from an extensive tour of Jewish communities across the United States, is a prominent artist on the Jewish scene. He has been a Baal Teshuvah for about 10 years, and became close to Chabad Hasidism in Tel Aviv after playing in many bands and gaining fame.
Today, he is a Chabad follower, has a large family, and carries out the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe - to spread Judaism through music in all media. His songs are played on leading stations.
After collaborating on stage with great artists such as Yishai Ribo, Avraham Fried, Akiva, Shuli Rand, Ariel Zilber and more, he is releasing his seventh single from a consistent solo career.
The latest single "Not Late" has surpassed one million views on YouTube and received much praise from music critics in Israel.
