Rescue forces and MDA were called this afternoon (Thursday) to an amusement park near Ganei Yehoshua in Tel Aviv, following a report of children who were injured following a technical malfunction in the chain carousel facility.
MDA and United Hatzalah medics and paramedics from the Tel Aviv branch and the Bnei Brak branch provided treatment to 15 children, aged six to 13. The children's condition is mild, with injuries to their limbs.
All the children were evacuated to hospitals. Nine of the children were evacuated to Dana Hospital in Ichlov, seven children were evacuated to Schneider Hospital in Petah Tikva, and five children were evacuated to Valfason Hospital in Holon. All the children are suffering from injuries to their limbs.
The circumstances of the incident are unclear. The police have opened an investigation.
Uzi Barak, a member of United Hatzalah, said: "An amusement park facility was damaged. We are evacuating children with minor injuries. The children are scared and hysterical.".
Avi Yosef, a United Hatzalah paramedic who arrived first at the scene, said: "When I arrived at the scene, I was told that the device had stopped suddenly, which caused bruises and injuries to the children on the device. Miraculously, the children were only slightly injured. I and other paramedics from the United Hatzalah emergency unit provided initial medical treatment to the injured.".
