Two Jewish Jews - a young man in his 20s and a man about 57 years old - were murdered in a shooting attack this afternoon (Thursday) at the gas station at the entrance to the settlement of Ali in Binyamin.
Aviad Gezbar, one of the owners of the Hummus Eliyahu restaurant at the station, who had gone out to refresh himself from reserve duty in Khan Yunis, shot the terrorist and killed him.
The terrorist is Muhammad Yousef Diab Manasra, a Palestinian police officer with the rank of major, who lives in the Qalandiya refugee camp near Jerusalem. Manasra has had two previous arrests, and was last released from Ofer Prison in 2019, after serving a prison sentence for weapons offenses.
According to the IDF, searches are underway for additional terrorists.
Senior MDA medic Avraham Applebaum said: "This is a very difficult scene that brought me back to the previous attack that took place only last June, and I was also among the first to arrive there. Today I quickly arrived at the scene and saw a vehicle with a man in his twenties sitting inside, unconscious with gunshot wounds. He was not breathing and had no pulse. Next to the vehicle was another man, about 57 years old, unconscious with gunshot wounds. A boy, about 17 years old, who was in the vehicle was not injured.".
MDA paramedic Shmuel Raynos said: "We scanned the scene and reached the injured and immediately began medical examinations. The two men were not breathing and had no pulse, and within a short time we were forced to declare them dead. This was a very serious attack.""
Ariel Elmaleh, chairman of the Ali community: "This is a serious attack. After the attack a year ago at the Ali gas station, another attack took place there. Now the security forces, together with the Ali community police chief, are conducting searches at the site. Unfortunately, the writing was on the wall.".
Regional Council Head Benjamin Yisrael Gantz, at the scene of the attack: "We are with two people murdered in a severe and painful attack. The terrorism here and in Gaza is the same terrorism with the same terrorists and the same ambitions. It is imperative to mount a crushing attack against terrorism in Judea and Samaria. We must enter the city centers, destroy infrastructure and eradicate terrorists completely, just like in Gaza.".
MK Limor Sun Har Melech said in response to the attack: "The terrible attack at the Aale gas station proves once again that the Arab enemy in Judea and Samaria is no different from his brothers in Gaza, and that both have the same goal - to destroy, kill, and lose all Jews without distinction. The only solution is an all-out war without blinking at any manifestation of terrorism, even the smallest one, and at the same time expanding the settlement and strengthening its pioneering people, and not the other way around... Only when we understand this and act in light of this will we be able to live in our country safely. I send my heartfelt condolences to the families of the murdered Jews.".

Last June, a murderous attack took place in the exact same place.
Two terrorists, Muhand Shahada and Khaled Mustafa Abd al-Latif Sabbah, arrived in a vehicle at the entrance to the settlement of Ali, opened fire on the guard at the entrance to Ali, moderately wounding him. They continued east, entered the nearby gas station compound, and fired at the Hummus Eliyahu restaurant in the compound.
In the attack, Elisha Antman (18 years old) and Ofer Fairman (63 years old), both residents of Eli, Harel Masoud (21 years old), a resident of Yad Binyamin, and Nachman Shmuel Mordoff (17 years old), a resident of Achia, were murdered.
A security patrol from the nearby community killed one of the terrorists with his personal weapon. The other terrorist fled in a vehicle he stole from the gas station, abandoned it after a while, leaving inside the weapon he used to carry out the attack, an M-16 rifle, and got into a taxi on the way to Jenin.
At the end of a manhunt led by the Shin Bet, a force from the Yam eliminated the second terrorist while he was in a taxi near Tubas.
